The Serbian Library Association (SLA), with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia and the Public Library “Vuk Karadžić” in Kragujevac, announces a call for papers, panel sessions topics, and participation in the 18th SLA Conference, which will be organized as a hybrid event, both with the physical and the online audience, in Kragujevac from 14 to 16 December 2021.
The theme of this year’s conference is Beyond 2020: New Opportunities and Perspectives
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE
By organizing the 18th annual international conference Beyond 2020: New Opportunities and Perspectives, the Serbian Library Association tries to support, reinforce, and expand the perspectives of the experts work in the library and information field. In this regard, the organization of the annual conference is an important condition for the continuation of regular contacts, exchange of ideas, and presentation of innovative activities and projects that have been implemented in the previous period or are ongoing.
The Conference objective is to support the employees and experts in the field of culture, cultural heritage, contemporary creativity, and the creative industries in expanding the range of products and services that can respond to the challenges and crises in the new context of work, practical implementation, and concrete application. The Conference is open to sharing practical information, examples of good practice, and successful projects that will improve the existing services by responding to unanticipated changes, different user needs, or constraints caused by factors beyond the influence of cultural institutions and workers. In that sense, the 18th SLA Conference encourages creative approaches in proposing possible topics for papers, presentations, and panel sessions, which escape traditional thinking frameworks.
